The
promontory where Cargese rises dominates Sagone Bay. Its
ideal situation allows you to enjoy the breathtaking view from Pero Bay, with its wonderful sandy beach, to the enchanting Sanguinaires Isles in Ajaccio Bay. The
sandy beaches of the area with turquoise blue water offer unforgettable
swims.
At Cargese you can find also an important scuba-diving school.
Cargese is an old Greek
colony, and you can still see here evidence of the ancient civilization. It
is famous for its two churches: the Roman and Orthodox, both facing and
dominating the tourist marina.
One day
excursions are possible to the port and Calanche of Piana.
Mountain
lovers can find beautiful nature spots in the valleys and the
surrounding chestnut and larch forests.
Ajaccio
is the capital city only 40 kms from the hotel and offers numerous
cultural and sightseeing attractions: the
Casino, nightclubs and other entertainment, the Fesch Museum,
Napoleon's birth house and other monuments.
The city centre has excellent shopping facilities.
Ajaccio also has an international airport and commercial port.
